PRABHU ASSOCIATES CONSULTANTS Pvt. Ltd. (Prabhu Associates) was established way back in 2004 by CA. Ramesh S. Prabhu and Mrs. Sahana R. Prabhu, with its full-fledged Corporate Office in Andheri (West) Mumbai, mainly to cater to the ever-increasing needs of the public at large in the legal field, and has not looked back since its inception. The company is mainly to assist the Cooperative Societies, Office Bearers, committees, and members to manage the day-to-day affairs within the provisions of the Act, Rules, notifications, and Bye-law etc., zooming into prominence with its commitment to honest and transparent operations and by providing excellent service to the full satisfaction of the ever-increasing Clientele.

The luminous Board of the company is headed by Mrs. Sahana Prabhu and Mr. V. Vishwanathan at the helm, ably assisted and supported by our mentor, CA. Ramesh Prabhu, who drives the company to achieve its mission.

Prabhu Associates, with the support of MahaSewa's “MSWA's Housing Societies Review," updates the members on a monthly basis related to cooperative housing and the real estate sector. Regular Seminars, workshops, and training programs for Individual society members, Co-operative Society, and managers are conducted. Prabhu Associates, jointly with MahaSewa, has prepared the panel for CHS Managers, Advocates, Faculties, Trainers, Project Management Consultants (PMC), Development Managers, Various Service Providers, Structural Engineers, Building Material suppliers, Contractors, etc. Regularly conduct Housing Society Management Show exhibitions at National Conferences.

Prabhu Associates has gradually spread its wings and ventured into various services in Co-operative Housing Sectors, Regular and Deemed Conveyance, Consultancy on Housing Society Matters, Maintenance of Accounts, Audit, Income Tax and Service Tax, Legal Opinions on Transfer of Properties, Society Matters, Recovery of Dues and Arrears under the MCS Act 1960, Maintenance of Statutory Books and Relevant Registers, Guidance on Registration and Formation of Societies, Payment of Stamp Duty and Registration thereof, and replies to the Notices received from various statutory authorities.

Providing PMC - Project Management Consultancy services is the latest in the company’s profile. Sensing the urgent need and importance of having PMCs by the Housing Societies should they go-in for redevelopment or Self-Redevelopment of Societies in and around Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Prabhu Associates has successfully completed the Redevelopment of many Co-operative Housing Societies in Mumbai.

In spite of being a highly qualified professional, CA. Ramesh Prabhu's forte is the Co-operative movement, and due to his industrious and zealous work spirit, he has become almost a Pioneer in Co-operative Housing Societies Matters, and conveyance and is a well-known figure in this circle.

His opinion is sought by various Government departments, competent authorities, educational institutions, and the public at large. His expertise has been utilized during the amendments made to the MCS Act, the framing of various rules, the compilation of the draft RERA Act, etc.

Nearly 40+ books on various subjects related to Co-operative Housing and real estate have been published.

The Company, in backup, has a dedicated team of seasoned Advocates with expertise in various society and real estate matters like the formation and registration of Societies, Conveyance, Redevelopment, and RERA, to name a few. There are qualified Company Secretaries who offer excellent and reliable services in their respective fields under the Companies Act, M.C.S. Act, and Rule.

The present circulation of our magazine is 35,000 copies per month. This magazine is distributed to all parts of Mumbai and Thane on the 10th of every month. We have been receiving excellent feedback and responses to our magazine. We have a very elite panel of writers who have been contributing regularly to help us educate the members regarding their rights, duties, and responsibilities.

MahaSewa has undertaken the activity of providing a “Society Manager” to look after the day-to-day working of the Housing Society and will be responsible for the maintenance of statutory Books of Account, Writing of Minute Books, correspondence, attending to notices and meeting deadlines under various laws applicable to housing Societies, carrying out liaisoning between statutory auditors etc.

We have the distinction of organizing the first two Housing Society Expos organized in Mumbai. The events were a grand success, attended by more than 50,000 members of society. Eminent speakers and experts addressed the gathering, as well as many other renowned practicing and retired advocates, Architects, Structural Engineers, Chartered Accountants, etc participated in the event.

Regular Classes for Housing Society Managers, Govt. Diploma in Co-operation, and Accountancy Course at Different Places Publication of books on topics like Registration of Societies, Stamp Duty, Registration, Conveyance, Redevelopment, Leave and License, Indemnity Bond, Transfer of Flats, Nomination and Will, etc.

Regular articles appear in a number of news papers on the latest subjects. Representation before the Government, Registrar, and other authorities regarding the common problems faced by the member society and getting the same resolved. Visit the Member society on request and guide the office-bearers and its members. Act as an arbitrator for resolving the disputes in society between the committee and the members.

Regular Camps like Housing Darbar for dispute redressals, the Adoption of Bye-Laws camp, the Stamp Duty Amnesty Scheme camp, and one-on-one guidance camps on various social issues at different places. followed by the introduction of Deemed Conveyance, a reduction in stamp duty, and the introduction of the stamp duty amnesty scheme, the OC amnesty scheme, etc.
